Partnerships

Collaboration is at the heart of the Centre for Climate and Environmental Resilience.

Tailoring projects to real-world challenges

Our partners contribute to teaching, mentoring and research. They enable us to tailor projects to barriers experienced on the ground. This ensures our outputs and impact are relevant to tomorrow’s society. Thinking ahead is crucial in delivering plausible and sustainable solutions.

Our partners challenge what we do and offer valuable and practical perspectives. They act as our gatekeepers to real-world scenarios and are the action enablers.

We work with organisations in Newcastle, the UK and around the world. Our partners help us develop climate resilience and limit the impact of environmental degradation. They operate in sectors such as:

  • industry
  • government, government departments, inter-governmental organisations, policymakers and regulators
  • local authorities
  • NGOs, communities and other third sector
  • other research institutions, consortiums and committees

We also engage and work with schools right across the northeast of England. We inspire pupils to take environmental career pathways.
