A leading role in case studies and treatment

- We have a dedicated Newcastle NIHR Clinical Research Facility. Between 2019 and 2020, this accommodated 90+ early phase studies in rare disease.

We have honed our knowledge and our clinical services across decades. We have built strong patient cohorts and learned from these individuals and their families to:
- initiate and advance research into rare diseases.
- identify 'what works', in terms of slowing decline, boosting patient outcomes, and improving quality of life.
- translate this expertise to our clinics.
