Dr Bike - 2025

October - December 2025
Various, Newcastle University

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, Dr Bike sessions offer a great opportunity to ensure your bike is safe to ride, led by the local charity WATBike and organised by the Sustainability Team.

Bring your bike down to a session for free minor maintenance repairs from a WATBike mechanic. You can also request a free bike safety inspection to be fully confident that your bike is fit for purpose, and don't be afraid to make use of the teams breadth of knowledge to learn about how to maintain your bike for yourself!

Larger repairs are not covered by Dr Bike sessions, however the WATBike team can provide quotes and organise bike collection from campus.

Please be aware that sessions run from 10:00am until 15:00pm and work on a first come first served basis, so please arrive earlier in the day to avoid disappointment. Please also be aware that you will need to present a University smartcard to book your bike into a session, and that bikes will need to be collected by 15:00pm.
