Walking, wheeling and running
Pedestrians have priority across much of our city centre campus. Find out more about safely travelling to, and around, the University by foot, wheelchair, and other mobility aids.
Walking routes through campus
Priority on campus is given to pedestrians and all those moving through campus by foot and wheelchair. This priority is supported by the pedestrianisation of King's Road through the heart of the campus and improvements to accessibility in areas such as the Old Quad, Claremont Quad, King's Gate and King's Walk.
You can find information about the main walking routes through our city centre campus, Helix campus and, Newcastle city centre in the Campus & City map.
