Paul is currently Chairman of The Perform Group plc (a leading sports digital media company) and Chairman of Halma plc (a market leader in specialist Safety, Health and Environmental technologies). He is also non-executive director of Experian plc, Sophos plc and was on the Board of Diageo plc from 2001-2011.
Until September 2010, Paul was Chief Executive of The Sage Group plc, a position he held for sixteen years after joining Sage in 1984 as Company Accountant and CFO in 1987.
Paul is a graduate of the University of York where he studied economics and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young where he started his professional career.
