Student societies

Newcastle University Students' Union (NUSU) has over 200 societies and sports clubs you can join. These include cultural societies such as the International Society, which aims to bring together students of different nationalities to promote cultural diversity and help students settle in to the local environment.

Entry Requirements

English language requirements

If your first language isn't English you will generally need an IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent, to study at Newcastle.

Our English language requirements section also lists the alternative English language qualifications we accept. This varies depending on which country you are from.
