On the 20thMarch a wide range of people from local public bodies and political parties were invited to a Research Showcase & Networking Lunch. In her introduction, Sally introduced this by explaining how the CRE is undertaking cutting edge research on the environment, climate change, regeneration of agriculture, and food and the rural economy.

“Our purpose is to raise awareness of these critical issues and to invite further discussion on any topic that is of  professional, research, or political interest. As scientists, our approach is rigorous and policy focused. We are interested in current and future research questions that affect all our lives: these encompass questions from food waste to the social inequalities around the ownership of carbon sequestration.

Many colleagues gave short presentations on a range of topics relevant to this. These can be found here.
