The challenges of sampling

Sampling for social science research is often challenging, particularly with difficult to reach groups

Niki Black is working on a CRE/Newcastle Institute for Social Renewal project “Social Inequalities in Rural Britain: Impacts on young people post-2008” which has involved interviewing young rural residents.  In our blog she reflects on some of the difficulties she encountered and how she managed to overcome these by thinking more creatively.
