Postgraduate Research Sub-Committee

The Postgraduate Research Sub-Committee reports to both University Education Committee (UEC) and University Research and Innovation Committee (URIC)

It responsbilities include:

  • the quality and standards of postgraduate research degree programmes
  • the Code of Practice for Research Degree Programmes
  • the University’s PGR Strategic Development Plan 
  • overseeing the development of the Doctoral College 
  • identifing and disseminating examples of good practice in postgraduate research student provision
  • considering issues relation to PGR Funding, including scholarships and studentships
