About EPGS

What we do

The Educational Policy and Governance Service are a new standalone service in Student Services, formerly a part of the Learning and Teaching Development Service.

The EPGS work in partnership with staff and students to develop and implement institutional educational policies, ensure the quality and standards of the educational provision, and enhance the student learning experience.

The service has responsibility for academic governance, including University Education Committee and its sub-committees, quality assurance, Cross-Faculty Education Committee, developing and renewing educational partnerships, and student voice activity including but not limited to internal and external student surveys,

The team is also responsible for the maintenance of programme data in SAP, return of course data to the Student Loans Company, the MOFS Database, Module Catalogue, and External Examining, including the external examiners database.
