Enabling Policy for the LEC

Leading Edge Curriculum

The Leading Edge Curriculum (LEC) is our vision for the future of education at Newcastle.  The foundational document is the:

• Leading Edge Curriculum Framework

This sets out the key policy requirements for programmes being redesigned through the curriculum transformation process and new programmes.

 

Integrating with Leading Edge Curriculum and with other aspects of the Education Strategy are:

• Education for Life Skills and Attributes

 

The Framework is supported by a set of new enabling policy:

• Qualifications, Credit and Programme Design Framework (QCPDF) (replacing the NUQCF for redesigned programmes)
• Programme and Module Learning Outcomes - new policy supporting the Programme-level design philosophy LEC requirement
