Our on Campus Experiences

Bring your students to Newcastle University for the day.

Overview

Build a Newcastle University outreach event that works for you and your students.

Choose from over 20 interactive sessions suitable for years 7-13. You can use these sessions to create a one-day event.

Event aims

Our event aims include:

  • introduce students to university life and the range of subjects available to study
  • students can explore various subjects in detail
  • work with current students, leading academics, and researchers
  • ensure students have relevant information at key decision-making times
  • inform students of the kinds of skills they will need to be successful at university
  • improve students' motivation to work harder to reach their educational goals
  • increase students' confidence in their ability to apply to university
Event facilitators

Experienced practitioners from our Outreach Team deliver our events. They are part of the University's UK Student Recruitment Team. Alongside our dedicated support staff, they ensure quality support.

Outreach coordinators

Key members of staff who arrange and deliver our outreach activity. They are Newcastle University specialists who can organise an event to suit your needs.

Outreach ambassadors

Recent graduates who are full-time members of staff. They aim to give students a thorough overview of the study experience at Newcastle University.

Student ambassadors

Current students deliver group work activities and campus tours. They aim to share their first-hand experience of Newcastle University.

Other university departments

We may involve other University departments to support our events. This includes academics, the accommodation team, and careers service. This is subject to the availability of colleagues in these areas.

The sessions were very well delivered and contained a lot of relevant information for students to take away and consider.
