Book your school or college group onto one of our Undergraduate Open Days
Our Open Days are a fantastic opportunity for your students to engage with all areas of the University.
Our on-campus 2024 Undergraduate Open Days will take place on the following dates:
- Friday 28 June 2024
- Saturday 29 June 2024
- Saturday 28 September 2024
During the event on 28 June, we will be hosting bespoke content for teacher, advisors and their school groups.
We may be able to offer bespoke content for your school group, such as a student-led welcome session for your students. Let us know on the booking form if this is something you'd like to discuss.
If you book your school group, we'll drop you an email to confirm details of who is attending from your school. This will allow us to send Opend Day information directly to your students.
Teacher's Lounge
On Friday 28 June we will also be hosting a Teacher's Lounge as part of the event.
The lounge opens at 09:00 and runs throughout the day. In the lounge, you can take a break from the event and take advantage of the following:
- complimentary tea, coffee and pastries
- sign-in to ensure that you’ll find out about further opportunities
- meet senior members of the university leadership team
- reclaim your school’s travel expenses
At midday, a complimentary buffet lunch provided, followed by a presentation from our Student Recruitment Team, to include:
- Newcastle University’s outreach provision
- how a named outreach contact could partner with your school
- details of our supported entry routes – how your students could get a lower university offer
- opportunities for your students to attend further events at Newcastle University
Transport funding available
If you are arranging a visit from a state school, we can also help with your group's travel costs by filling out the form below.
Up to £250 per state school/college is available, evidence of purchase must be supplied.
We may be able to support you with more than £250. We will consider requests on an individual basis. We'll take into account factors such as the distance travelled, widening participation data, and the number of students in your school group. If you wish to claim more than £250, please ensure to submit this form by Friday 2 June at the latest. Any submissions after Tuesday 11 June will receive no more than the initial limit of £250.
