Stage 1

Single Honours

Monday 22 September, 09:30–11:00, LT1, Herschel Building — Stage 1 Single Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School. The structure of the degree and the first year are outlined.

Joint Honours

Monday 22 September, 12:00–1:00, LT1, Herschel Building — Stage 1 Joint Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School and the School's Joint Honours Advisor. The structure of the degree and first year are outlined.

Stage 2

Single Honours

Tuesday 23 September, 9:00–10:00, Curtis Auditorium, Herschel Building — Stage 2 Single Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School. The structure of the degree is outlined and the second year module choices are described in some detail.

Joint Honours

Tuesday 23 September, 12:00–12:30, TR3, Herschel Building — Stage 2 Joint Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School and the School's Joint Honours Advisor. The structure of the degree and second year is outlined.

Stage 3

Single Honours

Tuesday 23 September, 10:30–12:00, LT2, Herschel Building — Stage 3 Single Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School. The third year module choices are described in some detail, particularly the project module MAS3091.

Joint Honours

Wednesday 24 September, 12:00–12:30, TR3, Herschel Building — Stage 3 Joint Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School and the School's Joint Honours Advisor. The structure of the degree and third year is outlined.

Stage 4

Tuesday 23 September, 1:00–2:00, LT2, Herschel Building — Stage 4 Single Honours students are welcomed by the Head of School. The degree programme director for the fourth year will be available to discuss specific questions about the project module.

Postgraduate students

Once you have registered, please report to the School Office in the School of Mathematics & Statistics on the third floor of the Herschel Building, in order to receive an induction pack, your allocated desk in one of our postgraduate rooms, a tour of the School, and a guide to all the facilities available to you.

Your supervisor will then be ready to meet with you and discuss details about your research programme and other academic issues.

Information about all other induction events will be included in your induction pack, which you will be given on your arrival at the School.
