About me
I'm an Urban Planner with a background in social geography. Before starting my research, I worked in local government, community organisations, and planning consultancy. I'm neurodivergent (autistic and dyslexic), which shapes how I think, notice patterns, and leads me to question why things are done the way they are. I'm curious about how places work, how people connect with each other and their surroundings, and how everyday systems—like transit—could work better.
My research focuses on neurodivergent experiences of public transport and the built environment. I use participatory and visual methods grounded in lived experience to explore what access, exclusion, and daily journeys really feel like.
Outside of work, I enjoy permaculture gardening, punk shows, and cycling.
Project title
Neurodivergent Experiences of Public Transport and the Surrounding Built Environment: A Participatory Study in Tyneside or the Urban North East of England
Project Description
This research explores neurodivergent people's experiences of public transport in North East England using co-creation, visual methods, and WhatsApp for data collection. Grounded in relational geography and Affect theory, this project aims to inform inclusive transport policy by centring lived experience and real-time, embodied insights.
