GOLD! Business School scoops a win at the HEIST Awards 2019

Newcastle University Business School are proud winners of the Gold Award for ‘Best Alumni, Development or Fundraising Initiative’.

On 11 July, Newcastle University Business School attended the HEIST Awards ceremony in Manchester and scooped up the Gold Award for ‘Best Alumni, Development or Fundraising Initiative’ for their ‘Celebrating 30 Years of MBA Excellence’ campaign.

For 29 years, the HEIST Awards have celebrated the very best of excellence and innovation in education marketing. The Business School was given the Gold Award for the ‘Celebrating 30 Years of MBA Excellence’; a collaborative campaign celebrating the people at the heart of the Newcastle MBA and the beauty of the North East.

This imaginative project was created by the Alumni and Marketing Team to celebrate MBA excellence and was inspired by the Business School’s 30 years of AMBA accreditation. The campaign used photography to showcase a different graduate of each year, from 1988-2018 around various local sites, with each alumnus quoting a positive insight of their experience of the MBA and how it helped them with the ever changing needs of leadership.

The judges comments: “The judges felt this campaign was clean, authentic, inspirational, flexible and scalable. A very worthy gold winner.”

Professor Sharon Mavin, Director of Newcastle University Business School said: "I’m delighted that the Business School’s Marketing and Alumni Team have received national recognition and this Gold Award for the work they do. Thank you to all MBA Alumni who supported our campaign to celebrate 30 years of AMBA accreditation of the MBA."
