We have a variety of scholarships to help with your study costs. We offer funding support to undergraduate and postgraduate for UK, EU and international applicants.

Eligibility criteria
You will be considered for an English Language Excellence Scholarship if you hold an unconditional offer for 2020 entry on one of our undergraduate or Master's degrees.
You must also meet the following criteria:
- hold an English language qualification of IELTS 7.0 or above (or its equivalent) with no subskill below 6.5
- achieve AAB at A Level (or its international equivalent) for entry to an Undergraduate course
- hold a UK 2.1 Honours Degree or its international equivalent for entry to a Master's course
- be assessed as an international student for fee-paying purposes

Our Enterprise and Innovation Scholarship is intended to foster an interest and build skills in innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship.

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Northern Ireland and North East Doctoral Training Partnership (NINE DTP) Studentship
There are two pathways relating to our subjects under the NINE DTP funding scheme:

The Arts and Humanities Research Council Northern Bridge Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership
Newcastle University is a member of the Northern Bridge Consortium which offers 67 fully funded studentships per year to outstanding postgraduate researchers across the full range of Arts and Humanities subjects. Peter and Nora Lomas PhD Scholarship in Economics
This scholarship was established in 2010 by economics alumnus, Peter Lomas (MA Economics, 1949) who donated £1.6 million to fund PhD scholarships in Economics.

David Goldman PhD Scholarship
This scheme was established in 2001 to commemorate the life and work of David Goldman. He was the founder and chief executive of the North East's iconic software company, the Sage Group plc. The scholarship is normally advertised on www.jobs.ac.uk.
