Students start journey to CIMA accredited Sage Qualification

Accounting and Finance Undergraduate students have been offered the opportunity to study a CIMA Accredited Sage Qualification.

Open to Stage 2 students studying Intermediate Financial Accounting, 31 students have applied to take part in the qualification, which is part funded by Newcastle University Business School and Sage. The students will have access to a full copy of the Sage accountancy software and will work through the online course taking end of unit tests and a final assessment to gain the qualification. Participants will then be proficient in the use of Sage software which is used in organisations worldwide. 

Gill Holden, Module Leader, said: "The qualification gives students a fantastic opportunity to gain a worldwide recognised qualification and enhance their employability and I am delighted to be working with Sage." 

Tim O’Reilly, Qualifications Manager at Sage said: “Sage are happy to be working with Newcastle University, and we are proud to be supporting students on their journey to becoming an accountancy professional with the use of a Sage CIMA qualification.”
