Since graduating, what have you gone on to do?
I developed expertise in international clients and partner relationships whilst in UK and returned to India to lead my company in Supply Chain and Marketing as a Manager.
Is the above what you planned to do before starting university?
Yes, I wished to gain international exposure and develop my business contacts, which is what I went on to do.
What was your favourite thing about your course?
Both theory and practical exposure with tasks based on real time work scenarios.
Were you involved in any extra-curriculum activities during your time here?
I was an active member of NUSU Go Volunteer & Sports club.
Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?
In 5 years, I wish to be the leading Conveyor belts manufacturer in India. I desire my Company to be a one stop place for all types of conveyor belting solutions.
How do you see future technologies and new ways of working (Future of Work) affecting your sector?
Since my firm's production is based on manual labour work, latest technology development has lured people into tech jobs rather than working in their core jobs which makes it difficult to find manual labours and technical engineers in India.
What one piece of advice would you give to somebody looking to start a career in your industry?
Learn with more practical examples, keep updated with latest developments in the field and work beyond your comfort zone.
Start early, work hard and play hard. Success will find you.
