About the programme

Captured is Newcastle University Business School’s internationally recognised leadership development programme for small business owners.

The programme is fully funded and delivered at no cost to participants. The programme enables owners of small and micro enterprises to develop their management and leadership skills via 4 half-day workshops over a 2-month period. Each cohort of Captured has up to eight business owners and a key part of the programme is that each business owner is paired with an experienced manager from one of the region’s larger businesses who can provide an objective sounding board and a fresh perspective.

Benefits for you

We believe that experienced managers from larger organisations can be a valuable resource to small business owners. As part of the programme, participants are paired with a manager who provide them with short-term mentoring support.

Ongoing support including news and opportunities, free masterclasses with experts on a wide range of business related topics, our annual Christmas Fair and Christmas Gift Guide.

As a small business owner on our Captured development programme you'll:

Programme content

We run the programme via four 2.5-hour workshops over two months, making it easy to fit around work commitments.

Each series of workshops has a cohort of up to eight small businesses.
