New data shows that nearly 40% of Creative Industries freelancers are out of work and only 13% feel secure in their job (Bectu 2025).

As the government looks to appoint a new Creative Industries Freelance Champion we invite you to join us for a discussion of the freelancer experience.

During the event Dr Mark Taylor, Creative PEC research consortium lead for Arts, Culture and Heritage (ACH) will present the findings of our latest State of the Nations research looking at career journeys in ACH sectors.

This will be followed by a broader discussion on freelancing in the creative industries and what the priorities should be for the Government’s new Freelance Champion.
