Company visit highlights

Our company visits and student treks connect ambitious students with leading businesses. These visits provide students with valuable, real-world learning experiences. They also offer meaningful engagement opportunities for host organisations.

Ipsos and AlphaSights: Insight, Research, and Innovation

Sector: Market research and consulting | Location: London

This London-based trek introduced students to careers in research, consulting, and agile decision-making.

Students began their visit at Ipsos, a global research firm, with a tour and workshop on the value of market intelligence. They then visited AlphaSights, where they explored knowledge-on-demand consulting and the role of insight in business strategy.

AND-E: Career Insight Through Industry Workshops

Sector: Insurance and data-driven technology | Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

This Newcastle visit offered hands-on learning in innovation, project management, and marketing.

At Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe (AND-E), students explored how mobility and technology are reshaping the insurance sector. They joined small-group workshops across areas including project management, marketing, and application writing.

BNY and AmplifyME: Careers in Finance and Fintech

Sector: Finance and fintech | Location: London

This finance-focused trek gave students access to real-world roles in asset management, trading, and risk.

At BNY, students explored financial services and graduate pathways. At AmplifyME, an interactive simulation helped students step into the roles of investment professionals.

Dentsu: Global Marketing and Creative Strategy

Sector: Marketing and media | Location: London

This visit gave students insight into global advertising, recruitment, and future trends.

Students visited the London offices of Dentsu, where they joined planning sessions and panel discussions on:

  • creative strategy
  • campaign development
  • career pathways in marketing

Bloomberg: Careers in Financial Services

Sector: Financial information and media | Location: London

Some of our students visited Bloomberg European Headquarters in London to learn about careers in financial services.

The visit to Bloomberg was hosted by Newcastle University Business School alumnus Cameron Bateman.

HSBC: Opportunities in Global Banking

Sector: Banking and financial services| Location: London

Students visited the HSBC Global Headquarters in Canary Wharf. They toured the 45-story skyscraper, visited to the bank’s boardroom, and attended a financial careers insights session.

We hope the students found it a valuable experience, as our panellists certainly enjoyed meeting them.
