5th Marketing, Innovation and Digital Transformation Conference
Overview
The 5th Marketing, Innovation and Digital Transformation (MIDT) Conference, titled The Rise of AI: Technology-Driven Changes in Marketing, is jointly organised by the Centre for Consumers and Sustainable Consumption at Durham University Business School and The Marketing Research Community at Newcastle University Business School.
This conference explores how artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies are reshaping marketing theory and practice. As AI continues to influence how organisations understand markets, engage consumers and make strategic decisions, it is also challenging established ideas around value creation, ethics and wellbeing.
The event provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers to share forward-thinking work that examines these shifts at individual, organisational and societal levels.
Conference themes
We welcome abstract submissions across a range of topics, including:
- AI and consumer behaviour
- AI-enabled service and experience design
- Digital transformation of marketing strategy and organisational processes

- The future of marketing in an AI-driven world

About the conference
The MIDT Conference is an established platform for rigorous and innovative research at the intersection of marketing, technology and society. The fifth edition continues this tradition by encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and challenging dominant narratives around technological progress.
