Eligibility criteria
In order to enter, participants must:
- be classed as a “home student” at the time of entry and throughout the selection process.
- be at least 18 years of age
- meet the standard entry requirements of our MBA programme

Judging panel
All entries will be reviewed by Business School Senior Faculty and Professional Services staff. This will include the MBA selection team.
The winner will be announced after the competition has closed and all interviews have been held.
How to enter
1. Application form
To enter, eligible candidates must complete the competition application form below. You will need to:
- provide your personal information, e.g. full name, contact details, address, education history
- answer an essay-style question. This will assess your leadership potential, critical thinking, and alignment with our MBA values
- include an up-to-date CV demonstrating how you meet the standard MBA entry criteria
2. Interview
Shortlisted entrants will be invited to an interview with an MBA Academic Selector. The interview may be held in person or online.
3. MBA application
Once a winner has been selected, they must make an application to study the Newcastle University MBA in September 2026 in order to redeem the scholarship.
