The project will enable a 12m collaboration between the University and Arjuna Technologies which will ensure that industry helps lead the development of the Cloud Innovation Centre (a joint initiative between Newcastle University and Newcastle City Council) . The project will rise awareness across the region of the activities of the Cloud Innovation Centre and work to build a pipeline of organisations interested in collaborating with the Centre. This KTS will pave the way for a better understanding of the regional needs around cloud technologies and big data. It will ensure that the tools, techniques and expertise in this domain, developed through EPSRC research, are delivered as a generic offering to meet industry and public sector requirements. In so doing it will increase the potential for impact of University research through commercialisation and public sector services.
