Dr Syh Yuan Tan
Research Associate
Tan is currently attached to the School of Computing, Newcastle University UK as a Research Associate. He worked as a senior lecturer at the Multimedia University, Malaysia from 2012 to 2018 and served as a committee in the Malaysian cryptographic standards (MySEAL) from 2016 to 2018. He is a member of the Malaysia national mirror committee for ISO/IEC on Cryptography and Security Mechanisms as well as a member of the Malaysian Society for Cryptology Research. His research interests include cryptography and information security, particularly on the provable security techniques and zero-knowledge protocols.
My research areas include cryptanalysis, cryptographic schemes without certificates, provable security, tight reduction security proofs and zero-knowledge protocols.
