Studying the course
I took a year in placement and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
It gave me a year's experience in the industry to put into practice what we'd learned.
In final year, I enjoyed the flexibility to be able to take a variety of different modules. My favourite modules were Ubicomp and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
The lectures were more relaxed and there was an interesting discussion around the topic we were studying.
Living in Newcastle
I’m originally from London and I still wanted to live within a city. Newcastle is a good mix of city life but not as hectic. Most of the city hotspots are within walking distance from campus.
I enjoy walking along to the Quayside and getting one of the best views of the city from the top of the Baltic.
The nightlife is one of the best in the UK and is cheaper than London. You can also catch a local game of football at St James' Park - the atmosphere in the stadium is always buzzing.
