Modern Languages has a long tradition at Newcastle University and has been taught here for over 100 years.

University-wide language provision

The School also operates the University-Wide Language Programme (UWLP). Students from all areas of the University can study languages with us through our free language classes. This is supported by the award-winning Language Resource Centre (LRC).
