PhD Programmes
Studying for your PhD with us means that you'll become an expert in a specialist area and develop high-quality research skills.

Research supervision
As a postgraduate researcher, you’ll conduct original research work under the guidance of your supervisors. You'll have regular meetings to monitor your progress and develop an initial training plan to make sure you are acquiring the appropriate skills for your research.

Develop professional skills
In the School of Modern Languages, you'll have access to a dedicated quiet study space, as well as a common room. You'll develop professional skills through:
- three dedicated interpreting suites
- the Language Resource Centre which is equipped with audio-visual and computing facilities linked to a digital speech bank
