Introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you've done since graduating

I studied Chinese and Spanish, before moving to Hong Kong after graduation. I am currently employed as an Assistant Lecturer of English at the Vocational Training Council of Hong Kong.

Why did you choose to study at Newcastle University?

The university's ranking for East Asian and Spanish studies was a really important consideration for me.

How do you think your course prepared you for your chosen career?

Learning languages at Newcastle provided a solid basis for later teaching a language. Learning Chinese definitely helped prepare me for life abroad and being able to use the language effectively.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Newcastle University?

Chinese seminars were a real highlight!
