Meet Max

Modern Languages BA, Class of 2015

Introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you've done since graduating

Since graduating, I completed a Masters in International Relations, worked in an international trade consultancy, the logistics and supply chain sector, and a business development role.

I also gave up civilisation for a while and hiked the Pacific Crest Trail!

Why did you choose to study at Newcastle University?

Newcastle's excellent reputation, high ranking for languages and (of course!) the Language Resource Centre!

How do you think your course prepared you for your chosen career?

It made me fluent or near-fluent in two languages, preparing me to work internationally in my chosen languages.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Newcastle University?

My friends, the laughs, the memories. All the good times and all the hard work, I’d relive it all in a heartbeat.

Please describe your time at Newcastle University in three words

The Golden Years.
