Journal of Environmental Planning and Management celebrate success

2021 Impact Factor released

30 June 2022

The Journal of Environmental Planning and Management (JEPM) are celebrating success with the release of the 2021 Impact Factor.

Impact Factor is a metric which measures the average number of citations received by articles in a journal within a two-year window. In the past two-years, JEPM’s Impact Factor has increased to 3.371.

Speaking of the latest achievement, Editor-in-Chief, Neil Powe said:

“The Journal of Environmental Planning and Management (JEPM) has now been running since 1992 (30 years!) and has experienced a steady growth throughout that time.  Within the last few years Sarah Cherrill (Managing Editor) and I have been really busy processing record numbers of papers submitted to the JEPM, as the journal output has been increasing at a much faster pace.  We are really pleased that this is also coming through in terms of the quality of the papers.  In 2018 the widely recognised two-year impact factor was still below 2 and now it has extended beyond 3.  It is great for the School that it owns this internationally successful journal.”

Produced within the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, JEPM is a leading international forum for scholarly and accessible papers on all aspects of environmental planning and management. The journal focuses on the practical, technical, social and political problems in the planning and management of the environment.
