The Journal of Urban Technology has published an issue of 18 essays from leading scholars in the social sciences discussing the impact of 'Splintering Urbanism' 20 years after its publication. 

With 6,700 citations, the book co-authored by Profesor Steve Graham and Simon Marvin has been seminal globally and across many disciplines in influencing the so-called 'infrastructural turn' in the social sciences and humanities since its publication in 2001. The essays in the journal reflect on Splintering Urbanism's multifaceted impacts on research and thinking in the last two decades.
