What was your academic background?

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and communication engineering. I graduated from VTU Belagavi in 2017 with Merit honours.

Career progression

What were you doing prior to studying for an MBA?

I began my career as a software developer in the financial services sector at Societe Generale. However, I was soon drawn to the product management side of the corporate world.

I moved to a business analyst role that focused on product management. I was responsible for digital transformation projects at a global level, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR). I was also part of the employee resource group for diversity and inclusion (EDI) for an Indian subsidiary.

I was recognised as divisional Employee of the Year. I was also one of the 10 finalists for Employee of the Year at organisational level.

What are you doing now?

I’m a Consultant Business Analyst at Thoughtworks. I joined them in 2022. My role involves partnering with clients to solve complex business problems. These are focused specifically on digital transformation.

I lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. I’m actively involved in community engagement activities. I have to use my business acumen and technical and communication skills to deliver results.

The MBA experience

How did your experience on the MBA programme help you professionally?

Product management is a rapidly evolving field. It requires the ability to keep up with the constantly changing world and different perspectives.

The diversity of my cohort in terms of region and professional background helped me gain insights and new perspectives. This has helped me approach business problems in a more holistic and innovative way. It has also helped me develop my leadership skills.

The consultancy projects and experiential learning methods were a highlight of the MBA programme. They allowed me to learn from both my professors and my peers.

The MBA programme gave me experience and knowledge, both in the classroom and through my interactions with my peers. This will be invaluable in my future career.
