9:30 – Degree Programme Director Welcome – NUBS 2.10
Start your university journey by meeting your Degree Programme Director and finding out what’s in store for your time at Newcastle. Discover how your programme is structured, what you’ll be learning and the opportunities available to you along the way. It’s also a chance to meet fellow students and ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to Newcastle University Business School. Come along to meet some of the people who make up our school community and find out what it means to be part of it. We’ll introduce you to the School, the support and opportunities available to you and some of the experiences you can look forward to during your time here.

Meet the academics who will be teaching you this year and get a first look at what you’ll be studying. Find out what to expect from your modules, how you’ll learn and what you can look forward to exploring. You’ll also have the opportunity to put faces to names and ask any questions before teaching gets underway.

09:30 – Toon Trek: A Team Challenge – NUBS 1.03
Ready to explore the 'Toon'? Get out into Newcastle and explore the city centre with other Business School students. Work together and put your teamwork and research skills to the test to answer questions and find specific locations, discovering some of the city along the way. Most importantly, it’s a chance to have fun and make some new friends.

12:30 – Sustainability Challenge – NUBS 1.01
How can businesses help create a more sustainable future? Get ready to tackle this question as part of an interactive team challenge. Work with your new classmates to explore real-world sustainability issues, share ideas and come up with creative solutions. No previous knowledge needed – just bring your ideas and your enthusiasm.
