Dr. Rohit Sharma, FHEA, is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management and a recognized scholar in Operations Management. He joined the Newcastle University Business School in January 2026. He has published his work in leading journals in Operations and Supply Chain Management. In 2019 and 2024, the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society in the USA awarded him the Industry 4.0 Researcher Award and the Excellence in Operations Management Teaching Award.
His research interests include Operations Management, Sustainable Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and Agricultural Operations. He has been named in Elsevier’s list of the world's top 2% scientists for 2024 and 2025.
