Energy reduction through Promoting Sustainable Living

This project supports the ‘Sustainable Energy through China-UK Research Engagement’ , an EPSRC initiative promoting research collaborations between UK and China.

The project team have partners from Tsinghua University and potentially from Microsoft Asia. They will be developing and evaluating ubicomp technologies for monitoring energy consumption in everyday life activities with a specific focus on identifying differences between western and growing economies (PRC). Part of the project will be fieldwork and workshops in Beijing as well as in Newcastle. The project will be the basis for a joint project proposal, focusing on promoting sustainable lifestyles.  The project will fund resources for 2 RAs for three months each.
