Background

Deputy Director of Faculty Operations

  • Leads the Faculty Student & Academic Services Team of around 45 staff across four core teams: Marketing & Communications, Education, Engagement & Internationalisation and Planning & Performance.
  • Responsible for the Global activity of the Faculty, including International Relations and Partnerships, student recruitment with global reach and student mobility.
  • Responsibile for the planning process of the Faculty including Strategic Planning, Annual Reviews, Student Number Planning and Business Continuity and Risk Management.
  • Deputises for the Director of Faculty Operations across all work functions as required.

Worked for Newcastle University since 1997 in a number of roles ranging from technical laboratory work, financial administration, student lifecycle management and senior leadership and management positions.

The aspects of my current role that I enjoy most are leadership, mentoring and developing new industrial and international partnerships. I feel proud to work for a world-leading University with research and teaching activities that make a difference to people's lives locally, nationally and internationally.

Outside of work I volunteer as a co-opted Governor for a local Primary School with a view to encouraging more children to be interested in Higher Education, and Science and Engineering in particular.

BA Hons Business and Finance

HND Business Management
