The MA Translation and Interpreting Master's allows you to tailor your training in the fields of translation and interpreting to suit your needs.

You will develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge in your chosen area. You will graduate ready to embark on a career as a professional translator and interpreter. You will also train in our UN-standard, state-of-the-art conference interpreting suite.

Interpreting and Conference Diplomacy MA

Delivered in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and featuring a UN Geneva residential, this MA equips you with the interpreting and diplomacy skills to excel in international and diplomatic settings.

Conference Interpreting MA

The MA Conference Interpreting will train you for a professional interpreting career. In this course, you will develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge in:

  • simultaneous interpreting
  • consecutive interpreting
  • public service interpreting
  • remote interpreting

You will learn the practical skills to interpret professionally. You will also learn the technological skills to work in contemporary professional settings. Training will be provided in our UN-standard, state-of-the-art conference interpreting suite.

Translation and Localisation MA

The MA Translation and Localisation will enable you to gain critical skills and academic knowledge. This industry-relevant course covers localisation, translation and audio-visual translation (AVT).


During this course, you will develop a professional skillset. Upon graduation, you will be ready to enter the translation and localisation industry. We have full academic membership with the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).

Translation Studies MA

The Translation Studies MA will equip you with a thorough base in:

  • translating and interpreting principles
  • translating and interpreting research methods
  • practical translation training

Our staff’s research expertise will fully prepare you for doctoral study.
