Professional Development Master Classes for Research Students in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

Speaker: Rosaleen Howard, Chair of Hispanic Studies, School of Modern Languages, Newcastle University.

My research is based on multilingual areas of Latin America, primarily the Andean-Amazonian regions of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. In this session I will talk about my recent experience of working with non-academic partners (state policy makers and NGOs) on a project related to indigenous language rights in Peru. I will also invite you to talk about your own experiences and to raise questions.

All sessions take place on Wednesdays from 13.00 - 15.00. Tea, coffee, cake and fruit will be provided from 13.00, with the formal event starting at 13.30. Please feel free to bring your lunch.
