Research Forum on Interdisciplinarity in Practice

Date/Time: Thursday 15th February 2018, 3:00-5:00pm

Venue: Armstrong Building G.08, Newcastle University

The aim of the forum is to have a free-flowing discussion around the idea of interdisciplinarity, to share experiences of how we have worked in interdisciplinary ways in our research, and to discuss how interdisciplinarity might work for us in the future.

We hope the discussion will help us build on the work we are already doing and forge new initiatives. This will help us be well placed for future large grant opportunities. We will also talk about how CLACS might be involved in HaSS Faculty plans for a 10th School, which has interdisciplinarity at its heart.

We are pleased to say that Prof. Roger Burrows, Professor of Cities in APL, will join us at the forum, to tell us about the ´School X´ plans, and to share his own experience of interdisciplinary research with us.

In order for us to plan the forum and for catering purposes please register by 8 February.
