Alex Lamb is Chairman of British Engines, a third generation, family run, engineering group based in the North East of England. British Engines employs around 1,500 people. Alex studied at Edinburgh University, before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) to undertake his initial training. He became a qualified accountant in 1997. Alex joined British Engines in 1999 and was appointed Chairman in 2005; taking over from his father. Alex plays an active role in running the group both on a strategic level and on a day to day basis.
