One-to-one Support

We encourage you to explore our ASK resources and Your Skills workshops covering a wide range of common concerns students may encounter.  If you still have queries or require further support you can speak to the team at our open drop-ins or by booking an appointment.

Drop-Ins and Tea at 3

If you have a quick query, you are welcome to attend our drop-ins across campus, allowing you to meet the team in person, access quick guidance, and resources.  There is no need to book to attend our drop-ins and you can attend as many as you like.  We also run regular Tea at 3 events in the Academic Skills Hub in the Philip Robinson Library.

Bookable appointments

We have a limited number of bookable slots where you can discuss more complex queries with one of the team, either in person or online. Our appointments are designed for you to develop your skills so that you can apply these in your own context and our tutors will work with you to identify appropriate strategies.

An Academic Skills one-to-one lasts for up to 50 minutes, and gives you the opportunity to discuss issues and queries related to your studies and learning, from research planning and time management to revision, drafting and editing your writing.
