Your Welcome Week programme runs from Monday 21 September to Friday 25 September 2026.
To help you transition smoothly into life at Newcastle University Business School, we've designed this bespoke schedule for your course. It contains a mix of informative sessions, networking opportunities and fun activities.
You will find a list of your activities below. Click on an activity title to show the activity description.

- your activities may be a mix of in-person and online sessions. If applicable, links to online sessions will be provided in the activity description
- you are required to attend all sessions
09:30 – Education Team Support Drop In – NUBS Foyer

14:30 - NUBS PGR Welcome - NUBS 8.10
The NUBS PGR Induction/Welcome Session will be held in St James View (8th floor of NUBS) on Monday 21 September.
This will be led by Dr Ian Gregory-Smith (NUBS PGR Director). The timings and agenda for this session will be communicated to you in due course.

09:30 – Local Business Fair – FDC Foyer
Explore local businesses, discover services and opportunities available in the community, and connect with local organisations. Come along to meet business representatives, ask questions, and find out what’s on offer during your time here.

Grab a drink, take a break and come and meet your new Business School community. The Community Café is a relaxed space to chat with other students, meet staff and make some new connections. Whether you have questions or simply want to get to know some friendly faces, you're very welcome to attend anytime during the day.
