Making a difference

The 2026 THE Awards cover the 2024-25 academic cycle. In this time, the School strengthened its connections with employers. More than 160 employer events took place, generating over 6,000 student interactions.

Opportunities included internships, company visits and international careers initiatives. These helped students connect their learning with the world of work.

The School’s research continues to inform policy and practice internationally. Meanwhile, partnerships across the North East and around the world support collaboration, innovation and economic development.

Progress in widening participation and continued recognition through major accreditations further demonstrate the School’s commitment to inclusive, responsible and impactful business education.

A moment to celebrate

Professor Stewart Robinson, Dean of Newcastle University Business School, said: "Being shortlisted for the THE Business School of the Year award is a tangible demonstration of how our increased focus on making a difference and societal impact is coming to life.

"This is not down to an individual, but down to many staff, students and partners working together for a better world."

The winners will be announced at the THE Awards ceremony in Birmingham on 26 November 2026.

The School’s nomination is an opportunity to celebrate the collective contribution of the School’s staff, students, alumni and partners. Their work helps shape responsible business leaders and create positive change locally and globally.
