Newcastle University Business School Dean Leads Key Sector Discussions at Chartered Association of Business Schools Conference
Professor Stewart Robinson led the 2026 UK-India Business School Dialogue conference, leading international sector discussions.

The conference brought together leaders from over 80 business schools from across UK and India, alongside government representatives, regulators, business leaders and sector experts. They explored opportunities for stronger partnerships and shared perspectives on the future of business education.
This was the second Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) UK-India Business School Dialogue event. It builds on the growing potential for UK and Indian institutions to collaborate for the mutual benefit of business schools and their students.
As Chair of CABS, Professor Robinson helped host and lead the discussions, highlighting the opportunities for institutions in both countries to develop new partnerships in teaching and research.
“There is an open door for building partnerships with Indian Business Schools in teaching and research,“ he said.
“It was a pleasure to return to the second CABS India-UK Business School Dialogue after the success of last year’s event. This year brought together even more business schools from across the two countries for insightful discussions on opportunities for collaboration.”
The role of universities in responsible education
AI featured prominently in conversations about the future of business education. Discussions highlighted both the opportunities AI creates and the need to address concerns around its responsible use.
Professor Robinson emphasised the importance of business schools not only teaching responsible AI use, but also embedding responsible approaches across their activities and programmes.
The dialogue reflects Newcastle University Business School’s focus on international collaboration and on preparing students for a rapidly changing business environment.
Building stronger links between UK and Indian business schools creates opportunities to develop teaching, research and wider partnerships that can benefit students and institutions in both countries.
The discussions provide a platform for continued collaboration between business schools in the UK and India, with responsible AI and deeper partnerships in teaching and research likely to remain important priorities as institutions continue to work together.
