Dr Joe Marlow
Lecturer in Economics
Background
I am a Lecturer in Economics at Newcastle University Business School.
My research interests are mainly within Macroeconometrics and Empirical Macroeconomics, although I am also interested in research questions in Econometrics more broadly.
I completed a PhD in Economics at the University of Surrey in 2026. Before joining the Business School, I worked as a PhD intern in the Monetary Policy Division at the Central Bank of Ireland and was also a visiting PhD student at the University of Oxford.
