Dr Kate Lewis is Professor of Work and Organisation and joined Newcastle University Business School in January 2021. Prior to that she was Reader in Entrepreneurship and Gender Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School and Associate Professor at Massey University in New Zealand. She is also a Visiting Professor at Plymouth Marjon University.
Kate is on the advisory board of the Massey University People, Organisation, Work and Employment Research Group; an external Research Associate of both the New Zealand Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Centre at Massey University and the New Zealand Work Research Institute at Auckland University of Technology; and, a past Vice President (Research) of the Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand.
Kate has been Consulting Editor for the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship, an Associate Editor of the Journal of Small Business Management, and Editor in Chief of Small Enterprise Research.
