Student Health and Wellbeing Services

Access quality health and wellbeing support within the School of Modern Languages and wider University.

Within the School of Modern Languages (SML) we have a dedicated Student Wellbeing Adviser. They act as a point of contact for any Newcastle SML student facing wellbeing difficulties.

Our Student Wellbeing Adviser is linked to Newcastle University's Student Health and Wellbeing Services and can support you by:

  • offering a safe and confidential space to talk
  • providing advice and guidance on a range of personal matters
  • discussing practical resources to help boost wellbeing
  • referring you to specialist colleagues within Student Wellbeing
  • liaising with School and Wellbeing colleagues to facilitate support
  • checking in to ask how you are finding the recommended support
  • helping you navigate the wellbeing services available at your partner university during a year abroad

You can reach out by emailing SMLwellbeing@ncl.ac.uk
