Skills & Attributes

The Skills & Attributes area helps you understand the skills you are building through your studies and extra curricular activities, and how these connect to your academic progress and future goals.

In this area, you can rate your confidence against the Skills & Attributes at any time, and as often as you wish. Each response is saved, so you can look back on previous entries and see how your confidence has changed over time.

You can recognise your strengths, identify areas you would like to develop further, and prepare for discussions with your Academic Adviser about your progress and future plans.

You will also be able to access a Skills Catalogue, which brings together opportunities and resources to support your development.

How to complete a self-assessment

To undertake your first self-assessment, click on 'Take First Self Assessment'.

A new window will open where you can complete your first self-assessment. In total, there are 30 multiple choice questions covering all elements of the Skills & Attributes.

Once completed, you will be presented with your self-assessment results in the radar graph and a New Self Assessment button will appear.

When starting a New Self Assessment, you will have the option to copy your most recent results across as a baseline for your new self-assessment.

Reflections

The Reflections column in the Skills & Attributes table displays the number of reflections you have made against each individual Skill or Attribute. By default, all of your reflections are shared with your Academic Adviser.

Clicking ‘View’ will display all reflections made against the Skill or Attribute.

The following window will open.
